SEDE is dedicated to upgrading the competitive advantage of the energy and energy-related industries in the countries in which BTU invests or contemplates undertaking an investment. SEDE accomplishes this purpose through public-private initiatives, working with local governments to tailor solutions through energy cluster and capital market development.

SEDE’s economic development model seeks to transition energy-dependent economies from a commodity-based infrastructure to a knowledge-based infrastructure, facilitated in part through cluster and capital market development.
